MUSICAL TRANSITIVITY

While it’s essentially fair to say that Jason Mraz sounds an awful lot like Jeff Buckley on Prozac, it must be pointed out that Buckley kinda needed Prozac.

At any rate, I’ve been listening to Mraz’ debut album quite a bit lately, and it’s really growing on me. The dude has a killer voice, and he’s not afraid to weave in a strong soul-jazz influence. Hip, I’m sure he’s not, but I only know what my ears tell me, and they tell me they like this guy.
