THE LAST WORD ON MS. JACKSON

It could have been worse . . . on Polish free TV, viewers were treated to a concert by a Norwegian black metal band featuring sheep’s heads, live nude crucifixions, and blood everywhere.

The band is facing charges of causing religious offense, which (a) is a crime in Poland, and (b) carries a possible two-year prison term. (What’s going to happen when certain elements in American politics get hold of that concept?) All I wonder is, did anybody look at these guys’ publicity photos before they agreed to tape their concert? That might have solved much of the difficulty.

(Link from FARK, which, of course, I do not read.)
