If the condition is that I must be the age I'm at now (39), that rules out my #1 fantasy of being a 19-year-old in the East Village in 1977. I suppose it would have to be 1964, so I could understand the '60s from the over-30 perspective.

Back to 1955, to impress upon Mom and Dad that they are not to even think about making little Alan a right hander. The penalty being death.

Also, Dad would get that vasectomy, and get treatment for his (possible) clinical depression and anxiety disorder. Quitting smoking would be included.

And Mom would get her Masters and her PHD.

Even if it killed them.

If the question were posed 10 years ago, I'd say Haight-Ashbury in the Summer of 1967 since I was born in early June of that year. Answering it now, it would be Europe in the early 1990s after the end of the Cold War.
