  1. greatly enjoyed the bio. had me laughing hysterically. tragically unhip band choice on my part, i’d have to think about it because Barenaked Ladies has a good deal of popularity, but are still kind of big geek nerds… perhaps it would have to be Gordon Lightfoot, if solo singer songwriters count. i learned all the great lakes from that great man with the velvet voice.

No, even though he wandered the MOR wilderness for a long time, he’s still beloved by the tastemakers, most of whom have forgiven him for “Edmund Fitzgerald.” If you want something in that vein, try geeking on Poco; if you must love something Canadian, try The Poppy Family or possibly The Lowest Of The Low.
