TODAY’S DISCUSSION QUESTION
Of Frank Solich, Ron Zook, Ty Willingham, and Rick Neuheisel, who will get a second chance first? My money is actually on Zook–he’s too good of a recruiter, and evidence shows that, while he was in way over his head at Florida, he has potential to become a good coach. Both Illinois and Indiana need top-notch recruiters; Zook would be a good fit at one of those schools,

I’m thinking Willingham might return to Stanford… Norm Chow has been frequently mentioned, but with Crowton being fired from BYU *and* Chow being a long-time assistant there under Edwards, I would imagine that BYU would be a possibility.
And you’re right. Zook would fit in well in the Big 10 theoretically. Probably Illinois if only because Indiana’s already hired & fired the former SEC head coach…

Zook is the obvious choice. I think Solich will have a job not long after, though, maybe at Indiana. Skippy Neuweasel… Ole Miss? An odd fit, but I think it’d work. Willingham will be introduced as the new UDub coach in the next two weeks.
