Iowa did pick up Syracuse in 2006 to replace Missouri, which is a better situation. In 1985, Iowa won the Big Ten outright. They ended up with Drake and Northern Illiniois, since KU (chickened out like Missouri) and Miami-FL didn't want to come to the midwest twice in the same year. Hopefully, like 1985, Iowa can reach #1 at some point in the season. It would be a great step under Coach Ferentz!
