BLOGPOLL BALLOT, WEEK 2

More about BlogPoll here.

The games I watched this weekend: Minnesota @ Tulsa, Bowling Green @ Wisconsin, Notre Dame @ Pitt, Louisville @ Kentucky, Ole Miss @ Memphis, Real Miami @ Florida State.

1. Southern Cal: Until there’s a good reason why they shouldn’t be.
2. Texas: Not sure they’re actually the #2 team in the country, but they’ll do for now.
3. Tennessee: Note to Phil–you only have a quarterback controversy if there’s some dispute about who should be getting the snaps.
4. Michigan: However, the defense is highly suspect and they may not get over on Notre Dame this weekend.
5. LSU: They didn’t play, so I can’t move them.
6. Georgia: That’s one well-oiled machine.
7. Ohio State: Nice takedown of Fake Miami; I’m still not totally sold on this team.
8. Florida: Moving right along . . .
9. Virginia Tech: Looked pretty good against a pretty good NC State team.
10. Iowa: Not much of a test, but at least the running game is back.
11. Florida State: What a great defense. If only somebody could throw the ball.
12. Arizona State: Lucked out with a bonus home game this week.
13. Miami: It’s 3:09 on Tuesday, and Kyle Wright just got sacked again.
14. Purdue: Picked a good week not to start the season.
15. North Carolina State: Valiant in their loss to VT.
16. Louisville: Great offense, but that twitchy, overcommitting defense is going to burn them at least once this season.
17. Georgia Tech: What a great road win for the Yellow Jackets.
18. California: Don’t let the score fool you; they weren’t very good against Sacramento State.
19. Virginia: I know next to nothing about this team.
20. Notre Dame: If they can run the ball against Michigan, look out.
21. Auburn: I still believe in Tuberville.
22. Boston College: After that debacle in Tallahassee last night, their ACC chances look a lot better.
23. Minnesota: Still got my doubts about the defense, though.
24. Texas Tech: The Big XII South looks wide open right now.
25. TCU: I’m not sure beating Oklahoma is that big a deal, though.
