Discussion:
- Okay, I guess I wasn’t too hard on Oklahoma last week. So maybe I’m right about Oregon, too?
- This weekend’s multifarious upsets = great chance to reorder the teams without having to do too much justification. I thought I was so smart Sunday morning for deciding to make Florida my #2 team until later in the day when I discovered the AP had already done so, and it appears the other polls have followed suit. Will BlogPoll? It’s too early to tell (obviously), but right now it’s hard not to rank Florida ahead of U$C, Michigan, West Virginia, et al.
- I fully expect to receive much grief for having Iowa as high as I do. My justification: they fumbled four times, lost three of those fumbles, and still won by thirty points. Mitigating factor: It was against Purdue, which at one point was the most fraudulent 4-0 team in the country.
- Some BlogPoll voter out there is dead certain not to have Arkansas in their ballot this week. Let’s just get this out of the way now, Player-To-Be-Named-Later: Booooo.
- Note to Chris Peterson: It may have been a great weekend for one ex-Boise State coach (Houston Nutt), but when you look at what Dirk Koetter and (especially) Dan Hawkins are going through right now, you might want to look askance at any job offers which come your way. Recent history suggests you’re probably better off staying in Boise.
