It’s the same thing that’s been bedeviling them for the last couple seasons: the inability to cover the underneath routes in obvious passing situations. It works in the sense that Iowa gives up very few long pass plays. It doesn’t work because first downs are pretty much available at will to opposing teams, because every Hawkeye DB will be playing deep.
Oh, and be glad you’re not down by more. Michigan is scary good.
