PING ANYBODY
Hey, I’m back. Our little encounter with norovirus is now far behind us, and we’ve returned from our Greek Orthodox Christmas in Iowa. Given the number of encounters we’ve had with bad luck traveling in January, however, we’re now thinking about celebrating one of two new holidays:
- Fiscal Christmas (June 25), or
- Chreaster (variable).
Meanwhile, we call your attention to this post, wherein we predicted that Urban Meyer would play for (but not necessarily win) a national title sometime in his first two seasons at Florida. Ignore me at your own risk.

Mark,
Would ‘Chreaster’ feature a ceremonial worship service?
Many C&Er’s, perhaps there are some even in your congregation, may be intrigued by feeling obligated to attend worship just once (rather than twice) per year?
I’ll stick with Christmas, Easter and, of course, Festivus, thanks.

I’m no C&Eer… I add in Palm Sunday. And occasionally Ash Wednesday. I think that goes down as “PACE”. This Fiscal Christmas intrigues me, however.
And I’m not going to invest in an aluminum pole, so cross me off the festivus list. Although I do have a lot of problems with you people.
