It’s really frustrating. I’ve tried so hard to like his show, and there are times I’ve really enjoyed it. Then he goes and does something like this, and all the goodwill he’s built up with me is just gone. He reminds me of a guy I knew in grad school who everybody wanted to like, but inevitably when people started warming up to him he’d make some mean-spirited comment about somebody, and we’d just think “why did we fall for it again?”.
