					<description>I got turned off from Spam as a kid when my parents would serve, at times when my paternal grandparents would visit, &quot;open-faced sandwiches&quot; that would involve sliced Spam, pickles, onions and American cheese baked on top of a bread slice. How could anyone not get turned off from Spam after that? I have never been a picky eater, but Good Lord did I struggle through each of those &quot;open-faced sandwich&quot; suppers. Ugh!
But, I will agree that pan-fried Spam, like bacon or ham, rules! Didn't try that until I reached college ...</description>
